Why Kids Should Have Pets

If your pet is displaying an unwanted behavior and you feel it would not be good to have around children – remember – your pet can be retrained. As a result, your child will have a loving companion. Before you think of “getting rid” of your pet, you may want to consider what you’d be taking away from your family. There are pet trainers and animal behaviorists who can help you change your pet’s behavior. The answer is not always to “get rid” of the pet. The effort you put forth to change your pet’s behavior may be one of the most rewarding things you ever do.
