Please Help Trooper

We know that Trooper is not a German Shepherd, it doesn't matter because he needs help. We'd like to share with you the plea for help from Donna at the American Veterinary Hospital in Bolingbrook, IL. Before posting this on our web site, I did call the vet and the rescue and both are legitimate. The CWGSR will be donating to help. This poor little soul has suffered from the hands of ignorant, vicious humans. Hopefully, kind humans can help him recover body and soul. He had surgery again and he has an infection in the stomach and he's anemic, but he's been upgraded from guarded to stable! - Judi at CWGSR

Hello Everyone:

I hesitated before passing this along because I know how hard it is to read these stories.  I used to question why the plight of one particular dog should cross my path – when there are so many in need - and have since chalked it up to the fact that this is one of many that I might be able to help.  It makes me feel like I am able to do something.  I’ve also thought about how often small actions on the part of many people have made such a difference in the stories of other animals needing help – that I didn’t know why I would doubt that this would be any different.

TrooperTrooper is a pitbull used for fighting and then abandoned.  I’ll warn you that the pictures of his wounds are graphic – so you may not want to view them.  And yet – as much as he has been through – he still remains gentle and forgiving of humans.  The email below details the plans for his recovery.  If you are in a position to help with a small donation – here’s the contact information.  Let them know it’s for the Trooper fund.   And please share this with others you think might want an opportunity to help.  On behalf of Trooper, thanks.
